With the 750 Pieter Beeldsnijder has designed a modern version of the traditional Dutch longboat, a strong open boat that was used to bring officers to the shore in earlier days. And this is still obvious: officers are keen on comfort indeed and therefore the Bellus 750 offers unknown sailing qualities and stability, even under the most extreme circumstances. Tradition and advanced technology go hand in hand however: the under water ship is extremely modern and this makes it suitable for both quiet touring voyages and high speed trips. It makes the Bellus 750 seaworthy but the boat also feels perfectly at home on rivers and lakes. Furthermore the traditional clinker building returns in this boat; it is applied in polyester and produced according to Dutch craftsmanship. The strong midship placed Vetus-ship diesel gives a reliable propulsion. Without vibrations, with a minimum of noise but with a spectacular engine capacity. You can choose among engines of 16 until not less than 141 kW, or 22 to 192 hp. The top speed of the strongest engine version is in proportion: not less than 48 km/hour. And, believe us: it is a spectacular sight to see a nostalgic boat like the Bellus Bellus 750 whiz over the water at such a speed! Thanks to its fan-shaped stem the Bellus 750 sails absolutely dry and it has a perfect course stability. Furthermore the large width contributes to a rock-solid lateral stability. In brief: the only thing this comfortable but powerful ship still needs is an excellent shipmaster. Therefore we cordially invite you for a trial run. |
